According to founding member Kevin Lawton, NextStep Behavioral Healthcare LLC is a medication-assisted therapy and personal counseling center for treating opioid addiction. He previously worked with a doctor in downstate Illinois to use Buprenorphine to treat opioid addiction.
Initial struggles lead to success
This affiliation saw a number of challenges, and this physician was unable to devote his full attention to the group. Ultimately, he moved on and Kevin and his colleagues sought other doctors to fill the void.
Growth and expansion
Kevin continued to do assessments and individual counseling sessions. He started an opioid addiction group for current patients. More groups, counseling staff, and physicians were added to accommodate the growing number of people seeking help .
Commitment to your well-being
